Karilena Harwitz, Intern

Kari comes to Touch of Healing as a counseling intern after a diverse and meaningful career journey. For 25 years, she worked in technology, where she learned how to solve complex problems, think strategically, and communicate clearly. Later, as a flight attendant, she developed a deep appreciation for human connection by supporting people during moments of stress, transition, fear, excitement, and everything in between. Throughout her career, one constant has remained: she has always been drawn to helping people. Her education path reflects that calling.

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Anthropology and Psychology

  • Master of Science (MS) in Educational Psychology

  • PhD in Leadership Studies with a concentration in Psychology

She is currently completing her Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. Becoming a counselor feels less like a career change and more like coming home for Kari. She believes in creating a space where clients of all ages feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. Whether you are navigating mental health stress, changes, relationship difficulties, or simply seeking greater clarity and growth, Kari would be honored to walk alongside you. You do not have to do it alone.

She is currently working under the direct supervision of Sandra Rawlings, LPC, LPC-S.
